Red Seal Homes Opens New Decorated Model Home at Willow Lake in Lake Forest
The model features a formal dining area, eat-in kitchen, first-floor library and two-story great room with great views.

Northbrook-based Red Seal Homes has opened a new decorated model home at Willow Lake, an upscale community of 52 semi-attached, maintenance-free homes in Lake Forest. The 2,500-square-foot, three-bedroom home showcases many standard features found in homes at Willow Lake while highlighting a number of customizations.
Located off Route 60, just east of Interstate 94 and across from Conway Farms Golf Club, Willow Lake offers seven floor plans ranging in size from 2,495 to 4,338 square feet with two to three bedrooms, 2½ to 3 baths, and attached, two-car garages. Homes are priced from $800,000.
“Being able to tour a completed home is an important part of the home-buying process for most people, so we are very proud to unveil our latest model at Willow Lake. Even if you previously toured our last model home – which a buyer ultimately purchased after touring – you’ll see many new features in this home, such as custom lighting and a screened-in back porch,” said Brian Hoffman of Red Seal Homes.

The new model has an open plan that is similar to all designs at Willow Lake. It features a formal dining area, eat-in kitchen, first-floor library and two-story great room offering great views of the community’s natural landscape. On the second level, there are three bedrooms, including a master suite with a walk-in closet and upscale bath with a dual-bowl vanity and separate shower and soaking tub. The second level also includes a loft and laundry room.
“In plans where all bedrooms are on the second floor, the second level laundry is a very popular feature,” noted Hoffman.

Also popular is the maintenance-free aspect of the community, leaving residents more time to enjoy the community’s two lakes for fishing or kayaking, as well an adjoining walking trail. The community previously was part of an estate belonging to Marshall Field, and much of the wetlands, mature trees and other natural elements have been carefully preserved.
“This time of year is especially beautiful at Willow Lake, with the decades-old trees turning bright red and yellow, and flocks of geese gathering around the lakes, preparing to head south in the coming weeks,” noted Hoffman. “Each home is designed to maximize the views of the natural surroundings.”
In addition to wooded or water views, all homes at Willow Lake come with high-end finishes such as crown molding; built-in Kitchen Aid professional appliances including double ovens and a chimney-style exhaust hood; granite kitchen countertops; site-finished oak hardwood flooring throughout the main living areas; porcelain and ceramic tile in the bathrooms, mudroom and laundry room; and an oak staircase with an oak railing between the first and second floor, per plan. Homes also feature a full, unfinished basement with 9-foot ceilings and each offers the option for an elevator.
Home designs come with customizable European country or classic revival-inspired elevations with cedar shake-shingle roofs and brick or stone exteriors.
“It is unusual to find attached homes that offer so many options to personalize the interiors as well as exteriors, but after more than 80 years of building homes on the North Shore, we know that is important to our buyers,” said Hoffman. “We try to integrated a lot of choice into the building process with each community we build, and Willow Lake is no exception..”
Willow Lake offers a prime location less than three miles from downtown Lake Forest and across the street from Conway Farms Golf Club, which hosts the PGA’s BMW Championship, formally known as the Western Open. It also offers easy access to the Tri-State Tollway/Interstate 94. Willow Lake is served by Lake Forest School Districts 67 and 115.
The model home is located at 1750 Westbridge in Lake Forest. It is open for touring by appointment. To schedule a tour, contact Karen Schmid at 847-722-8016.
