'Rock n Roll Style' Poster To Commemorate Lake Bluff's 105th 4th of July Parade

The village of Lake Bluff will celebrate its 105th Fourth of July Parade this year and have designed a poster to mark the occasion.

Stephanie Spino, a Trinity International University graphic designer, designed the poster and layout of the 2015 Parade Book.

The inspiration for the poster was a photograph from the 2014 parade of two children standing next to the World’s Tallest Uncle Sam, according to a village press release. Spino’s design features an illustration of that image set alongside vintage-style block-print text.

“Since this year’s parade theme is ‘Independence Rocks,’ we thought it would be cool to create a vintage rock ‘n’ roll style poster,” says Deb Dintruff, president of the Lake Bluff Fourth of July Parade Committee.

Posters cost $10, with all proceeds benefitting the Lake Bluff Fourth of July Parade. They will be sold at the Lake Bluff Farmer’s Market (on the corner in front of Inovasi) on Fri., June 19 and Fri., July 3.
