Johanna explains, "I spent 13 years in the classroom as a teacher so my heart has always been in supporting education and finding a way to make a difference. As I take a break from teaching to spend time with my own kids, the role of co-chair for this event has given me the chance to still be involved with schools and to dedicate my free time to education in a different way."

District 67 is fortunate for having generous parents that are willing to step up and donate their time and talents in ways which benefit all of District 67 students! Johanna and Sam are working closely with another stellar District 67 Mom. Their friend, Cassie Carver of Ferrari Lake Forest is graciously hosting the event at the alluring supercar Ferrari showroom in Lake Bluff, IL. Co-chair, Sam precisely explains, "The event is a great way for parents in the district to get together and have a really fun night out! Every dollar raised at this event will go directly back to the schools and to the students to truly enrich their educational experiences.”

Live music by the popular and energizing local band, Hello Weekend will follow opening musical performances by some of District 67’s student musicians. Music performed among the backdrop of sleek supercars in the stunning Ferrari automotive gallery will be an alluring invitation for all District 67 parents. “We hope it can be an anticipated date night for parents or an outing for friends but we know everyone that attends will have a great time!” expressed Courtney Turner, VP of Special Events for the Spirit of 67 Foundation.

In addition to the music, food and beverages will also be provided. A live paddle raise will take place in addition to raffle and auction items available for this fundraising event. Sam and Johanna are working with their committee to ensure the auction will appeal to everyone with local retailers and service providers as well as unique in-school experiences for the students.
