Safe Sitter Program Teaches Kids To Be Great Babysitters

The course, starting Aug. 10, is designed to teach kids everything from safety to the business of babysitting.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Kids will have a chance to learn how to be knowledgable, nurturing babysitters in the Safe Sitter program. The class, on Aug. 10 and 11, is designed to teach kids about the world of babysitting and how to do it right.

Designed for 11- to 13-year-olds, this course teaches "important life skills - business, medical, and safe habits," to babysitters.

They'll spend time practicing their newly-learned techniques and role-play to create realistic situations like the one they may face on the job.
