Special Hearing Planned To Discuss Proposed Redevelopment at Western and Laurel in Lake Forest

A revised plan is being prepared by developer in response to community input.

The Plan Commission has set a Special Meeting to continue the public hearing on the proposed Western and Laurel Avenues Redevelopment. The entire meeting will be devoted to discussing this petition.

A revised site plan is being prepared by the developer, Focus Development, Inc., in response to comments, questions and direction from the Commission and the public. The revised plan will be available on the City’s website as soon as it is received by the City and no later than Tuesday, May 26, 2015. The revised plan will also be available for review in the Community Development Department, 800 Field Drive. Background materials on this petition previously presented to the Plan Commission are currently available on the City’s website.

Redevelopment – Northwest Corner of Laurel and Western Avenues

Special Meeting Date: Tuesday, June 2, 2015 6:30 p.m.

Location: City Council Chamber – 220 E. Deerpath

Written testimony may be submitted in person or by mail to the Community Development Department, 800 Field Drive, or e-mailed tofriedrim@cityoflakeforest.com Correspondence received by the City by 3 p.m. onTuesday, June 2nd, will be provided to the Commission in advance of the meeting. All persons in attendance are welcome to testify, no prior registration is required. The Plan Commission reserves the right to continue agenda items to future meetings without providing additional public notice. A copy of the agenda packet will be available at the Community Development Department and on the City’s website on Friday, May 29, 2015.
