LAKE FOREST, IL — A Skokie man has been charged with criminal property damage and a drug felony after Lake Forest police responded to a 9-1-1 call that someone was throwing items from one car at another, police said. Police responded to Route 41 shortly after 5 p.m. on Aug. 7, where they found a suspect Pontiac hatchback and a 46-year-old Lake Forest man who explained a bottle with some kind of liquid in it had been thrown at his Toyota crossover.

Steven W. Cook, 27, of the 8000 block of Harding Avenue, was detained near the intersection of Route 41 and Westleigh Road on suspicion of throwing a bottle, hitting the Lake Forest man's vehicle and causing light damage. As police put Cook into handcuffs, they conducted a search and found four amphetamine pills in his pocket, according to Lake Forest Deputy Chief Rob Copeland.
