Stop If You've Heard This: Man Walks Into Store to Touch Worker and Is Arrested

DUI
Matthew L. Demirs, 20, of Swampscott, Mass., was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, disobeying a stop sign and a cell phone violation after an April 5 traffic stop.

Police pulled over Demirs at about 1:13 a.m. for running a stop sign and committing a cell phone violation near Washington and Illinois roads, the police report states. During the stop, Demirs told police he had been drinking and failed field sobriety tests.
After being taken into custody, Demirs was given a breath test, and his blood-alcohol content was 0.180, more than twice the legal limit, which is 0.08.

He was released on $3,000 bail, and his court date is May 27.
SUSPENDED LICENSE
Jonathan Celis, 21, of the 500 block Lakehurst Road, Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia after an April 4 traffic stop.
Police pulled over Celis at about 11:36 p.m. when he was spotted driving without registration near Old Elm and Buena roads, the police report states. A background check revealed Celis' license had been suspended, and drug paraphernalia was discovered in his car.
Celis was released on $1,500 bail, and his court date May 3.
TRESPASSING AND DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Michael C. Davis, 24, of the 1300 block of North Western Avenue, was arrested and charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct after an April 3 incident at business in the 800 block of North Western Avenue.
Police responded to a call from the business about a man who walked into the store, went to the employee-only and touched an employee, the police report stated. Davis had been warned multiple times on earlier occasions by police not to enter the store.
He was released on $1,500 bail, and his court date is April 20.
