In order to maintain a safe area for the Block Party and orderly traffic circulation, E. Center Ave. (from the Public Safety Building east to Oak Ave.) and E. Scranton Ave. (from Sheridan Rd. to Walnut Ave.) will be closed from the end of the bike race until 11 p.m. E. Center Ave. and W. Scranton Ave. will be temporarily closed from 7:00 a.m. until 11 p.m.

A nearby construction project in which work is being repaired on the wall on the north side of the Sheridan Road viaduct on Rockland Road (IL Rt. 176) could also cause issues for drivers and pedestrians. Sidewalk access is limited through the duration of the project and motorists should proceed with caution as there will be periodic lane closures. Pedestrians are encouraged to use the “outbound” (or western) platform staircase to access the sidewalk along IL Rt. 176, as well as the Train Station and downtown Lake Bluff.
