Sunrise Beach Improvement Project Begins

Work is being done on the bathrooms and wooden staircases leading from park to beach.

Access to Sunrise Beach in Lake Bluff will be limited over the next five weeks as improvements are being made to the bathrooms and wooden staircases leading from Sunrise Park to the beach.

According to a community contribution on the Daily North Shore website, the park’s bathrooms, stairs and pathways will all be closed during this time, and access from the top of the bluff to the beach will only be available through the access road.

A $150,000 referendum approved by voters last fall will pay for the bulk of the project, with a $50,000 donation from Friends of Lake Bluff Parks paying for the rest.
