Suspect In Bank Robbery Attempt Strikes Second PNC Bank Branch
The FBI believes a man who tried to rob a bank Saturday in Zion carried out a Tuesday afternoon robbery at another branch in Waukegan.

CHICAGO — Investigators believe the same man who tried unsuccessfully last weekend to rob a bank in Zion struck another branch of the same bank Tuesday in Waukegan, according to the FBI. Surveillance images from two PNC Bank branches showed what appeared to be the same man wearing different flannel shirts. The FBI is offering $1,000 reward for information leading to the man's arrest.
In the first incident, someone came into the bank's branch at 2900 Sheridan Road in Zion at and tried to rob it around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, according to the FBI. He was wearing a short-sleeved flannel shirt with dark pants.
In the second incident, a bank robbery was reported at the 1802 Belvidere Road branch around 2:34 p.m. Tuesday, and the FBI believes it is the same person. The robbery was described as non-takeover, with only the teller aware of the robbery at the time and no display of weapon.

The man fled the scene of the Waukegan incident in a white four-door sedan believed to be a Crysler 200, according to the FBI. In both cases, the robber was described as a black man in his 50s with a medium build and a medium complexion.
