Teen Driver Fled Cops When Stopped for Curfew: Police

Battery arrests made on consecutive nights at Lake Forest College.

The following information is from the Lake Forest Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL BY A MINOR

An officer stopped a car occupied by two juvenile males at Western Ave. and Ryan for a registration violation and located alcohol inside at 7:29 p.m. on Feb. 7. Both minors were cited for possession of alcohol by a minor and released to a parent.

FLEEING A POLICE OFFICER

An officer stopped a car driven by a female juvenile with four juvenile passengers - all from Chicago - out after curfew at 1:10 a.m. on Feb. 6. While the officer was speaking with the occupants, the driver drove away but left the roadway soon thereafter. All five occupants fled on foot but were taken into custody. The driver of the car was charged with improper lane usage, fleeing a police officer, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured vehicle, violation of curfew and improper use of her instructional permit. She was processed and released on bond to a parent. All four teen passengers were cited for violating curfew and released to a parent or guardian.

BATTERY

Nicholas D. Behrens, 20, Woodstock was charged with battery at 1:20 a.m. on Jan. 24 at Lake Forest College.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Elizabeth C. Cozon, 38, Gurnee was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Police responded in February 2015 for a report of a fraudulent prescription for pain medication created and filled by a former employee.
