Teens Found Smoking Pot in Car at Forest Park

Police arrested a 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl from Lake Forest and said the girl appeared to be "extremely intoxicated."

LAKE FOREST, IL - Two teenagers, one of them described by police as “extremely intoxicated,” were found smoking marijuana in a car while parked at Forest Park.

Police arrested a 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl - both from Lake Forest - after finding them in a Jeep Cherokee that was parked in a No Parking area at 8:09 p.m. on Nov. 21, according to a Lake Forest police report.

When the pair rolled down the windows after being approached by police, the officers on scene said they could “immediately” smell the odor of marijuana.

Both occupants were charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Lake Forest Fire Department was called to the scene to evaluate the health of the girl, who police determined was highly intoxicated.
