Waukegan Man Stole Co-Worker's Cell Phone: Cops

The following information is from the Lake Forest Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

THEFT

Omar A. Colon, 19, Waukegan was charged with theft at 6:25 p.m. on June 14 in the 800 block of North Western Avenue. Police responded to a retail store there for a complaint by an employee of a stolen cell phone. The victim had used his phone tracking feature to locate the phone at the home address of a co-worker, Colon. Officers spoke with Colon, who admitted stealing the phone while at work. The phone was recovered and returned to the victim.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Amanda M. Rodriguez, 22, Highland Park was charged with driving while license suspended at 5:13 p.m. on June 18. Police responded to a traffic crash on Sheridan Road at Illinois. While investigating, Rodriguez was found to be driving on a suspended driver’s license and taken into custody.
