Western and Laurel Development Plans Approved by Aldermen

Plan for 110 apartments in Lake Forest inches closer to reality.

The proposed 10.6-acre residential development at Western and Laurel in Lake Forest has been tentatively approved by the City Council.

Plans by Focus Development include building 12 single-family homes, 42 condominiums and 110 apartments on the site bordered by Western Avenue, Laurel and Franklin Place - according to the Lake Forester.

Just before the plans were approved, a change included a proposed north-south street ending in a cul-de-sac rather than exiting onto Franklin Place.
