William "Bill" Keating, 69, Lake Forest

William (Bill) Michael Keating passed away unexpectedly on November 29, 2022, at the age of 69. Bill was born on June 3, 1953 to Martin (Sam) and Elizabeth Keating in Urbana, Illinois.

Bill was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in accountancy, Loyola University Chicago School of Law with a Juris Doctorate and IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law with a Master of Law in taxation.

A long-time resident of Libertyville and Lake Bluff, Bill passionately worked for almost 45 years as an executive in the hospitality management industry. Bill thoroughly enjoyed serving his church, the Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Forest, volunteering as an usher at Ravinia and was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears.

Bill was predeceased by his parents and sister, Diane Amelio (nee Keating). Bill is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Carol A. Keating and their four children, Katie, Chance, Kelsey (Matthew) and Kevin (Hailey). Bill was also a beloved grandfather to five grandchildren, Pilar, Tristan, Benjamin, Vita and Henry, with a sixth on the way and two sisters, Kathleen Rintz (nee Keating) and Susan Keating.

Visitation 5pm to 8pm, Friday, December 9, 2022 at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 Vine Ave., Lake Forest. Funeral Service 4 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Church of the Holy Spirit.
