Woman Who Came to Police Station and Asked Cops for Donation Served With Warrant
The solicitor had an active warrant for assault out of McHenry County.

LAKE FOREST, IL - A Zion woman who came to the Lake Forest police station and sought donations for a clergy fund for people in need wound up behind bars when police ran her name and found she was wanted for an active warrant.
Crystal R. Washington, 48 was charged with the failure to appear warrant from an original charge of assault at 1:35 p.m. on Sept. 23, according to a Lake Forest police report.
Washington came to the station to “seek assistance” for the clergy fund, according to police. But when officers at the station ran her information as they do with all visitors, an active warrant out of McHenry County was found. She was detained until the McHenry County Sheriff arrived and confirmed the warrant.
