- The Grille on Laurel, 181 E. Laurel Ave., Lake Forest - Reviewer from Chicago writes: “The Grille has awesome burgers at a very reasonable price, especially considering this is Lake Forest. I love that the burgers come on a pretzel bun which tastes so much better than a regular bun.”
- Deer Path Inn, 255 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest - Reviewer from Highland Park writes: “Love this place. Great “bar type” atmosphere but with outstanding food. They have a very diverse menu and the sushi couldn’t be better. The bartenders make a terrific martini.”
- Grille 43, 28800 Waukegan Rd., Lake Bluff - Reviewer from Libertyville writes: “The food is always good here and they offer a nice food selection. The bar is a nice place to have a drink and eat too. I actually prefer it. Veggie burger sliders are yummy.”
- Sushi Kushi Toyo, 825 S. Waukegan Rd., Lake Forest - Reviewer from Lake Villa writes: “We love authentic Japanese food and, in the greater Chicago area, this is the place to go. Amoungst native Japanese people living in the area, Sushi-Kushi is tops.”
5. Sullivan’s Steakhouse, 250 Marriott Dr., Lincolnshire - Reviewer from Deerfield writes: “While my friends politely ate their steaks and raved about them. I demolished the thickest and juiciest part of my lamb, then cut and sucked out every last morsel of meat from the bones, mopping up the au jus with a loaf of fresh bread. Afterward, their plates appeared polished. Mine looked like a war zone defoliated by tanks and missiles then overrun by ninjas.”
