Rob B. from Glenview says: “I had the corned beef and cabbage ... and it was delightful! Very good quality and it was better than I expected. The sauce was rich and delicious and the corned beef was tender and flavorful. The bread pudding was better than most bread puddings I have had.”

Celtic Knot Public House, 626 Church St., Evanston I 3.5 stars

Jack F. from Evanston says: “My favorite place for fish & chips (also one of the only places). The bacon wrapped dates here are the best in town! Portions and prices on most things are pretty good, and it seems like the food is also pretty authentic. Pretty crowded, especially on weekends, but worth the wait especially if you’re craving some specialty Irish grub that you can’t get elsewhere.”

O’Neil’s, 1003 Green Bay Rd., Winnetka I 3.5 stars

Stan H. from Chicago says: “Always a solid experience. Food always fresh, well-prepared. The staff is attentive and friendly. Great place for dining alfresco in the warmer months of the year (both of them). There’s nothing daring about the menu, but consistently good is hard to find.”

Tommy Nevins Pub, 1450 Sherman Ave., Evanston I 3 stars

Kyle D. from Chicago says: “The menu is actually pretty varied and large, and they brew their own beer (which was pretty good). They also have a lot of selections to choose from. Plenty of TVs and typical pub atmosphere with the cheesy Guinness decorations.”

Curragh Irish Pub, 8266 Lincoln Ave., Skokie I 4 stars

Konnie A. form Glenview says: “This place has really good burgers. The atmosphere is fun and the drink list is great! I found a local beer which has now become my favorite!”
