American Girl Store in Chicago Vies for Best Restroom in America

The American Girl Place in Chicago, a dreamland for girls of a certain age, also boasts a pretty dreamy pottie room. The Michigan Avenue store is a Top 10 contender for America’s Best Restroom. The stalls boast doll holders so the girls don’t ever have to let their doll out of sight. And the delightfully decorated restroom has kid-sized sinks.

“Moms and girls alike are delighted with our restrooms,” Stephanie Spanos, public relations manager for American Girl, said in a statement. “Girls are thrilled that their special doll companions are safely secure and off the floor while they use the facilities.”

The contest, in its 13th year, is sponsored by Cintas. Themed restrooms in Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Washington, D.C., are among the 10 contenders you can see on the contest page.
