Apple Jacks
Apple Jacks is an inspiring four-month-old Schnauzer-Poodle mix who is sure to fill your heart with happiness. Apple Jacks was born blind and came to PAWS Chicago from another shelter. Upon his arrival and exam, the PAWS veterinary team detected that his eyes were in poor condition and needed to be removed. This surgery hasn’t stopped him from continuing to love everything he experiences! This resilient boy acts just like any other healthy dog and has a zest for life.
Apple Jacks loves attention from people and has a lot of love to give. He particularly loves cuddles and hearing people’s voices. Apple Jacks is a quick learner and uses his other senses to navigate the world around him. He would thrive in a routine environment and with an owner who will be kind and patient with him as he learns his new surroundings. Apple Jacks is house trained but would benefit from some training and socialization so that he can grow up to be a well-rounded dog.

Sandy Coafax is a laid-back four-year-old male cat with a gorgeous black and white coat. Why does he deserve to find a loving home to call his own? Because this sweet fellow has been at PAWS Chicago longer than any other cat in the program and is ready for someone to love and call him their own. Sandy is an easygoing cat who enjoys lounging his day away and sitting on top of his cat perch observing the world around him. He loves to talk and will gently put his paw on you to let you know he wants attention. This special guy had a heart murmur, but is healthy and does not require any medication. Sandy may be the longest-term feline resident at PAWS Chicago, but he hasn’t given up hope that his new family will come for him soon!
