Back to School Bash at Gill Park
Free festival at Gill Park on August 18. Backpack and school supplies giveaways.
Make sure the kids are geared up and ready for another school year at the Gill Park Back to School Bash on Thursday, August 18 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at 825 W. Sheridan Road. There will be free backpacks, school supplies, and slinkies will be given out to the first 100 guests. One lucky guest will receive the grand prize - a 24 karat gold-plated slinky!
Kids can also check out and play with a custom, 4-foot tall slinky and get their face painted. The Chicago View mascot, Charlie, a 6-foot-tall Saint Bernard will be handing out slinkies and free Children’s Guides (which highlight some fantastic children-focused businesses in the area).
