Bill Murray Announces His Cubs-themed Golf Apparel Collection
Bill Murray and his brothers pair up with The Chive's founders to create a line of golf apparel.

LAKE VIEW, IL — Bill Murray and his brothers plan to release Cubs-themed golf apparel on his 66th birthday Wednesday, as well as a fashion line this fall.
The idea came from a golf-cart pitch in 2015 from an executive with The Chive's e-commerce site, which sold a popular black-and-white Bill Murray T-shirt. The Chive's founders and the Murrays started to think of developing something even bigger than a single T-shirt, The Chicago Tribune reports.
This led to The Chive's founders and the Murrays teaming up to create a line of golf clothes. The collaboration hopes the clothes attract more young people to the game of golf.

"We think if maybe they have fun stuff to wear, they'll be more interested in golf," Murray, who's famous for his performances in "Mad Men," "Dharma and Greg," "Saturday Night Live," and more, said to The Chicago Tribune.
The Murrays are long-time Cubs fans, so launching a Cubs clothing line was a give-in for the family.

The team will sell pinstriped polos for around $75 and baseball caps for around $32 at WilliamMurrayGolf.com and TheChivery.com. Proceeds will help Mercy Home for Boys & Girls in Chicago, according to The Chicago Tribune.
The rest of the collection will go on sale Oct. 20.
