'Chicago Fire' Star Monica Raymund Will Be Pride Parade Grand Marshal
The TV star who plays a firefighter on the hit NBC drama will be on the featured float at the Pride Parade this month.
CHICAGO, IL - ‘Chicago Fire’ television star Monica Raymund will be the grand marshal of this year’s Pride Parade in Chicago.
Raymund, who is bisexual, announced the news Wednesday night on her Twitter account. She plays firefighter Gabriela Dawson on the hit NBC television series.
The always popular Pride Parade is scheduled for June 26 at noon. It will step off from Montrose Avenue and Broadway in Uptown.

Raymund will ride in a float toward the front of the parade. The four-mile parade route runs south, covering parts of Broadway, Halsted, Belmont and Diversey, ending at the northern edge of Lincoln Park.

The parade will take place one week after a two-day Chicago Pride Festival, set for June 18 and 19 on Halsted.
In addition to her role on ‘Chicago Fire,’ Raymund is known for being a part of other dramas such as ‘The Good Wife’ and ‘Lie to Me.’
