Chicago's 23rd Annual Mayfest Band Schedule, Tickets, Transit

CHICAGO, IL — The 23rd annual Mayfest will be showcasing local hip hop, rock and pop bands. Running from Friday, May 18 to Sunday, May 20, The Party Under The Big Tent will offer a variety of ice cold beer, cocktails and festival food. More than 10 local bands will be playing at the festival at 3100 N. Ashland.

The festival also features the Chicago Kids Day celebration — dedicated to educating kids about health, safety and wellness issues in a fun and interactive way.

Mayfest schedule:

Friday, May 18:

• 6 p.m. - 97Nine
• 8 p.m. - 16 Candles

Saturday, May 19:

• 10 a.m. - Chicago Kids Day
• 2 p.m. - The Ron Burgundy's
• 4 p.m. - The Hair Band Night
• 6 p.m. - The Boy Band Night
• 8 p.m. - Too White Crew

Sunday, May 20:

• 10 a.m. - The Upbeat Band
• 11:30 a.m. - Bloody Mary's with Mr. Blotto
• 2 p.m. - Rock Candy
• 4 p.m. - Libido Funk Circus
• 6 p.m. - 7th Heaven
• 8 p.m. - Rod Tuffcurls & The Bench Press

Mayfest transit:
Mayfest is located at the corner of Ashland and Barry Avenue, closest to the Paulina Brown Line stop, or if you’re coming from the Red Line you can get off at the Belmont stop and walk to the event. The CTA #9 Bus is your best bet if you’re located directly south or north of the Ashland/Barry Avenue intersection in Lakeview. If you’re coming from the west or east, the CTA #77 bus will drop you off closest to Mayfest.
