Here are the top stories in Lakeview today:
1. More than 4,500 positive cases of COVID-19 were reported Tuesday in Illinois, surpassing the peak of the last surge when about 4,400 cases were reported per day. Last year during Thanksgiving week, about 12,000 COVID-19 cases were being reported daily. (Paid source: Tribune)
2. Parlor Pizza Bar is being investigated for violating labor laws, according to ABC7. Locations in Wicker Park, River North and the West Loop are also being investigated for alleged discrimination against customers of color. (ABC7)
3. A Patch report claiming the Bears head coach has been informed of his impending firing is "not accurate," Matt Nagy told reporters Tuesday. A "top source" claims Nagy will coach his last game Thursday in Detroit. (Patch)
4. Wrigleyville business owners Joe Shanahan and Katie Tuten are featured in Chicago Magazine this week for their work to keep the city's music venues afloat during the pandemic.
