Earth Day Dishes at Kanela

Guests are invited to eat local and organic items on Earth Day at Kanela in Old Town and Lakeview. Kanela sources its ingredients from local farms and producers including Fontanini in Chicago (chorizo), Wayne Farms in Michigan (chicken), and Herburcks Farms in Michigan (organic eggs). All fresh berries and asparagus are sourced from independent Michigan farms. Kanela uses grass fed beef from Tallgrass Beef Company, a company founded by Chicago TV personality and anchor Bill Kurtis, which has certified farms throughout the Midwest.
