CHICAGO, Ill. – State Representative Sara Feigenholtz, D-Chicago, and Senate President John Cullerton are joining Weiss Memorial Hospital to host their 3rd annual Senior Citizen Health Fair on Thursday, June 19 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Weiss Memorial Hospital, located at 4700 N. Marine Dr. in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood.
“The lakefront neighborhoods are fantastic places for seniors to live and retire, because there are so many community resources, living options, and healthcare providers,” said Feigenholtz. “The goal here is to highlight the array of local and state services and resources available to area seniors in a fun and educational setting.”
Weiss Memorial Hospital will provide free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, vascular health, prostate cancer, and balance and strength testing, as well as healthy living tips, refreshments, and one-on-one consultations with doctors and pharmacists. Expert physicians will also offer free classes on managing foot and ankle pain, improving circulation, and diabetic care at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
