Feigenholtz Invites Homeowners to Appeal Their Property Taxes at Workshop

CHICAGO, Ill. - To help homeowners learn how to lower their property tax bills, state Rep. Sara Feigenholtz, D-Chicago, is sponsoring a Property Tax Appeal Workshop on Thursday, May 8 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Ann Sather Restaurant, located at 909 W. Belmont in Lakeview.

“This is a free workshop that will help give local property owners the tools and information they need to lower their property tax bills,” said Feigenholtz. “Every dollar of tax relief counts. We want as many people as possible to take full advantage of the property tax appeal services provided by the Cook County Board of Review.”

Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer, the Cook County Assessor’s Office, Senate President John Cullerton, and Alderman Tom Tunney are cohosting the workshop. Experts from the Cook County Assessor’s Office will be on-hand to answer any questions homeowners have about the appeal process and offer individual assistance.
