Feigenholtz to Host Roundtable for Condominium Owners

CHICAGO, Ill. – To help ensure that condominium owners know their rights, state Rep. Sara Feigenholtz, D-Chicago, will host a Roundtable Discussion for Condominium Owners on Monday, February 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Room 200 at Center on Halsted, located at 3656 N. Halsted St. in Lakeview. This event was rescheduled from January 6 due to inclement weather.

“This is an opportunity for condominium owners to learn how to improve relationships with their association boards, approach any board disputes, and find out about new laws affecting them,” said Feigenholtz. “It’s important to remain educated on the hot topics affecting condominiums and the changing laws so residents can maintain and improve their communities.”

Attendees will be joined by Sima Kirsch, an attorney and condominium advisor who draws on over 30 years of legal experience to guide owners looking for advice on settling conflicts with their associations. Topics of discussion will include: the intricacies of board membership, the value of condo education, and promoting shared interests with fellow condo owners.

“Our city is home to thousands of condominiums and every association works differently,” Feigenholtz said. “It is important to get a comprehensive look at condo life to ensure that owners are kept well-informed and involved in the decision-making process of their associations.”

The event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are not required, but space will be limited.
