Feigenholtz, Williams, and Cullerton to Host Women’s Health and Resource Fair

CHICAGO, Ill. – To help bring valuable resources and fun family activities to local women and children, State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz, State Rep. Ann Williams, and Senate President John Cullerton are hosting their third annual Women’s Health and Resource Fair on Saturday, June 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lake View YMCA, located at 3333 N. Marshfield.

At the free event, guests can enjoy free mini massages, learn about healthy lifestyles, find unclaimed money from the Illinois Treasurer’s ICash program, and have their questions answered by local pharmacists. The YMCA is providing guest day passes for attendees to participate in the YMCA’s group fitness classes offered during the fair. The Junior League of Chicago will also provide kid-friendly activities for children in attendance, and the first 100 attendees will also receive goody bags provided by the local business community.

“As we kick off the summer, this is an opportunity for women to take some time for themselves and learn about health and fitness resources in our community,” said Feigenholtz. “Thank you to the Lakeview YMCA and our local businesses for coming together to promote women’s health and active lifestyles.”

Feigenholtz, Williams, and Cullerton are also collecting gently-used women’s clothing and business attire to contribute to Lakeview Pantry, which provides food and support services for 12,000 people in the Lakeview area each year.

“The Lakeview YMCA does amazing work for our community by offering crucial classes, arts programs, and health services for all ages and abilities,” said Feigenholtz. “Rep. Williams, Senator Cullerton, and I are glad to highlight these services and other resources for women from our small business community.”
