No one was injured in the flames, which started around 7:30 p.m. Thursday night.

Firefighters tamed a blaze that destroyed one home in Lake View Thursday evening, and damaged two others.

The fire started at about 7:25 p.m. in the top floor of a home on the 3700 block of Bosworth, in between Waveland and Grace avenues. Police have temporarily blocked off the area from Addison to Grace.

One man was inside the home at the time, and escaped without injury, police said at the scene.

“Not more than a few minutes later I saw sirens and knew it was more than a BBQ and I looked out and saw a lo of fire trucks and I could see the fire coming out of the windows of the place down the street,” she said. “It was burning pretty strong.”

As of Thursday at 8 p.m., the cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.
