As part of our popular monthly series, we are honored to feature one of our own: faculty member Matt Ulery. A Chicago-based bassist and composer, Ulrey’s music is informed by the entire spectrum of jazz, classical, rock, pop, and folk – specifically American, South American, Balkan, and other European folk styles. He is the leader of his own group, Loom, and a member of Eastern Blok and the Grazyna Auguscik Group, among others. Ulery has released 5 albums of all original music including his most recent release, In the Ivory.
