Gallagher Way To Host 1st Ever 'Day At The Races'

The former Park at Wrigley in Lake View is inviting people to don their fanciest hats and celebrate the Kentucky Derby this Saturday.

CHICAGO, IL — Gallagher Way is hosting its first-ever 'A Day at the Races' on Saturday, May 5. The free outdoor event will include lawn games, a photo booth, inflatable pony hop races and the live stream of the race on the Gallagher Way video board. Derby fans are encouraged to dress to impress.

The band Get Up With The Get Downs will be performing during the event, and derby-inspired food will be served: bourbon glazed meatballs, Nashville hot chicken sliders, Kentucky hot brown sliders and pimento cheese dip with crackers.

The event is free and open to all ages. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
