Gallagher Way Summer Sundown Sessions Jazz, Blues Schedule

Bring a blanket and enjoy live music outside Wrigley all summer long.

CHICAGO, IL — Local jazz and blues artists will be entertaining people at the former Park at Wrigley hangout spot throughout the summer. Sundown Sessions at Gallagher way will host some of the city's top talent from Buddy Guy's Legends and the Jazz Institute of Chicago. Founded in 1969, the institute offers jazz education, develops and supports musicians, builds audiences and fosters a thriving jazz scene in Chicago.

The Jazz Institute of Chicago artists will be performing on select Tuesdays throughout the summer from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.:

  • Tuesday, June 26 - Lenard Simpson Quartet
  • Tuesday, July 17 - Hanging Hearts
  • Tuesday, July 31 - Irvin Pierce Quartet
  • Tuesday, August 7 - Larry Brown Quartet
  • Tuesday, August 21 - Rajiv Halim Quintet

Buddy Guy's Legends opened in 1989, and is considered one of the top blues clubs in the world. Buddy Guy is known as the 'king' of Chicago's electric blues scene and spent half a century in the music business.
