Kyle Schwarber Tears ACL, Will Miss Entire Cubs Season

The Cubs star outfielder suffered a devastating, season-ending injury on the field Thursday night in Arizona.

CHICAGO, IL - The Chicago Cubs are off to a dominating, undefeated start to the 2016 season, but fans were issued a devastating blow Friday when news broke that star outfielder Kyle Schwarber has a fully torn ACL and will be out for the entire season.

Schwarber has full tears to both the ACL and LCL on his left knee, ESPN reported Friday. He has been placed on the season-ending disabled list.

Schwarber was injured in an on-field collision with teammate Dexter Fowler during the team’s Thursday night victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
