Lake View Prepares for Cubs' 2014 Home Opener

Ald Tom Tunney reminds residents that parking restrictions are in effect for another season of Cubs' baseball, zero-tolerance for public drunkeness.

Brace yourselves, the Cubs home opener is Friday, and unless you have a keg of Jagermeister in your living room, this could be a good or bad thing.

In anticipation for Cubs opener against the Philadelphia Phillies, 19th District Commander Elias Voulgaris, has continued to make clear that the police will have a zero-tolerance policy for public intoxication and DUI, Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) said in an email blast to residents.

Commander Voulgaris will be enforcing City and State laws that prohibit the over-serving of alcohol and serving alcohol to minors. Also notable is that peddling goods without a license and the selling or soliciting the sale of residential parking passes will be strictly enforced.

The Chicago City Clerk’s website has more information about the “stadium permits.”
