Marijuana Will Make Its Chicago Debut Wednesday
Dispensary 33 will become the first medical marijuana dispensary in Chicago when it opens in Andersonville.

Dispensary 33, the medical marijuana facility at 5001 N. Clark in Andersonville, will open Wednesday as the first pot dispensary in the city of Chicago.
Business owners confirmed the opening in an email Tuesday, DNAinfo.com Chicago reports. The shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day until Sunday, Dec. 13.
“After that, our scheduled hours are a little funky, so please bear with us while we figure out how to serve Chicago the best we can,” the email said.
Dispensary 33 became the first dispensary in Chicago to receive a Medical Cannabis Dispensary license last month, and held a grand opening ceremony despite not yet having the product.
With all background checks complete, the marijuana era in Chicago will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
