Metra to Add Service for Pride Parade

More trains, and more seating, will be added to transport parade goers.

Chicago, IL - Metra will offer additional service on Sunday to help transport people to and from the Pride Parade held on the North Side.

According to the rail company, extra train service will be provided on the BNSF Line from Aurora, the Union Pacific North Line from Kenosha, the Union Pacific Northwest Line from Harvard and the Union Pacific West Line from Elburn. Extra seating capacity will be made available on other lines.

“We know it’s going to be a busy day in Chicago, so we’ve added service to four of our most heavily traveled lines to better accommodate all of the people we expect will travel into the city to attend the parade,” said Metra Executive Director/CEO Don Orseno.
