- The first day of 2022 is expected to be a snowy one in the Chicago area. A Winter Storm Watch was recently issued for a weekend storm that could result in up to 8 inches of snow along Lake Michigan. Snow is expected to start falling between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, with the heaviest snow expected between noon and midnight. (WLS-TV)
