1. City officials will host virtual town halls this week on strategies to reduce violence in Chicago. North Side residents can give feedback at tomorrow's town hall, which will take place online at 6 p.m. (Block Club)
2. Masks will be optional at Chicago Public Schools beginning March 14, the district announced Monday. A spokesperson for the teachers' union said the move violates the district's safety agreement and it will "have consequences." (Patch)
