Chicago Northside Townships Get Early Property Tax Assessment Increases
Money Smart Week Property Tax Information Sessions Offer Self-Help Resource
Residential property owners in Chicago township of Rogers Park have already received property assessment increases averaging almost 13% from last reassessment. Homeowners in Lakeview Township have been hit with increases over 20%.
The remaining six townships in City of Chicago will receive their reassessments over the next few months. If the pattern holds, property owners will also see double-digit increases.
For taxpayers who want to learn more, Raila PC is partnering with Money Smart Week in collaboration with the Chicago Federal Reserve. Free 1 hour property tax information sessions throughout Chicago and Cook County, will help you learn how to lower your tax bill, get proper exemptions, tax refunds and understand market value reassessment notices and government assessment links.
