Community Corner

NPN's Chicago Toddler Expo

Neighborhood Parents Network is hosting a community event on Saturday, April 26th to allow parents and families with children under age 5 to gain valuable information on a variety of parenting and lifestyle issues. NPN’s Chicago Toddler Expo will give families an opportunity to interact with and learn from professionals that specialize in different areas dealing with parenting young children.

NPN will welcome the public to Kids & Company to attend workshops focused on topics including: positive parenting, potty training, toddler sleep, essential building blocks for raising confident & empowered kids, getting organized, toddler communications and more. Attendees will sign up for one, two, or three 45 minute workshops to attend, based on their needs and interests.

Parents will get to know many toddler-friendly Chicago businesses and service providers through these workshops. If you wish to attend this event, please RSVP at http://www.npnparents.org/events/1539.

"The goal of the Chicago Toddler Expo is to allow parents the opportunity to educate themselves on issues that they are likely to face while raising young children, and help them to best prepare themselves to handle these issues in the most positive and effective ways," said Melanie Schlachter, Executive Director at NPN. "We hope that, as a result of this event, families will not only hear quality advice from the professionals during the workshops, but that they will also get to know businesses and resources within the community that can help them in their parenting endeavors."
