The Palmer House Celebrates National Brownie Day Tuesday, December 8

Brownie Bites and Vouches Will Be Distributed to Celebrate National Brownie Day

The Palmer House created the first brownie in 1893 in response to Bertha Palmer’s request for a portable dessert that ladies could enjoy in boxed lunches at Chicago’s World Fair. To celebrate National Brownie Day, beginning at 11:30 a.m. members of the Palmer House staff will be located around the hotel distributing brownie bites and vouchers for a discount at Lockwood Restaurant & Bar. Also, one lucky recipient will randomly receive a gift certificate for dinner for two at the award-winning Lockwood Restaurant & Bar.
