Lake View Cold Case Murder To Be Featured On Crime Stoppers
The cold case is being featured on Crime Stoppers Nov. 11.

CHICAGO, IL — Police are seeking the public's help in solving a cold case murder that happened 13 years ago in the Lake View neighborhood. The case will be featured on the TV show "Case Files Chicago" on Saturday, Nov.11. The victim was stabbed to death in his apartment.
Kevin Clewer, 31, was murdered in his home in the 3400 block of North Elaine Place between 10 p.m. March 23, and 6 p.m. March 24, 2004, police said.
Clewer was seen with a person of interest at two places in the 3300 to 3500 blocks of North Halsted right before the murder, police said.

At the time of the killing, the suspect was described as a Hispanic man, about 25 years old, standing about 5-foot-7, with a slim, athletic build. The suspect spoke with a European Spanish accent and may be known as Fernando, police said.
