Police Work To Return Fenger Class Ring and Other Stolen Property To Owners

Caption: Is this your stuff? Area North detectives have recovered numerous items from a recent burglary arrest in the 19th Police District, including a men’s 1966 class ring from Fenger High School.

Police are looking for the owner of a men’s 1966 Fenger High School class ring recovered from a Lake View burglary suspect.

In fact, if your home was recently burglarized on the North Side, Area North police detectives are looking reunite other recovered property with their rightful owners following a burglary arrest.

Daunta Head, 46, of the 5300 block of South Indiana Avenue, is facing multiple felony charges of residential burglary, burglary and theft by deception.

Area North detectives say that Head was hustling the stolen property -- including jewelry, cameras, laptops and more -- at various pawn shops.

Head allegedly targeted garden apartments and multi-unit buildings in the Lakeview, North Center, Roscoe Village, Uptown and Buena Park between July and November.

Now, detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying their stolen property. They are especially interested in finding the owner of the men’s 1966 Fenger High School class ring with a red stone, engraved with the initials “DJB.”

The recovered property is specifically from burglary victims in 19th police district, bordered by Lawrence Avenue on the north, Lake Michigan on the east, Fullerton Avenue on the south, and the Chicago River on the west.
