Premier Private Club Opening Beneath Home Plate at Wrigley Field

CHICAGO, IL - The American Airlines 1914 Club will take big spending Cubs fans back to the inaugural year of the iconic ballpark on Chicago’s North Side beginning in 2018.

The Chicago Cubs announced plans this week for the private club to be located until the home plate seats at Wrigley Field. The new space will offer unique food and beverage offerings, first-class amenities and benefits and prime-view seating, according to the team.

The name is a nod to both the sponsor, American Airlines, and the year in which the Cubs opened the ballpark, 1914. The 7,200 square-foot space will include an alcohol section and be open to about 600 season ticket holders with seats between the two dugouts.

The addition of the club the latest in the team’s efforts to “restore and modernize” Wrigley Field, the team said.

A VIP entrance will be one of three ways to access the 1914 Club at Wrigley Field.

Prices for 1914 Club tickets haven’t been estimated, but inquiries can be made by calling Chicago Cubs sales at 773-404-4200.
