Shelter Shiver to benefit ALIVE Rescue

Take a furr-eezing dip in Lake Michigan to help our homeless furry friends! On January 4, 2015 at North Ave. beach pet parents and animal lovers are invited to ALIVE Rescue’s 6th Annual Shelter Shiver. The event, which takes place at 10 a.m. on North Avenue Beach, will raise money for the nonprofit’s homeless animals.

For a registration fee of just $25, attendees can do a full “Shiver Swim” or a “Chicken Dip”, i.e., wading into ankle depth. “Meet you at the Meltdown” is for visual participants; there is no cost to watch, but donations are appreciated. The fee includes a Stayin’ ALIVE goodie bag loaded with coupons.
