'Spread The Love' Drive Extended For Lakeview Pantry

Next time you go grocery shopping, pick up a jar of peanut butter for those in need!

CHICAGO, IL — The Lakeview Pantry is holding its 'Spread the Love' food drive for one more week. The drive was launched to encourage more people to donate jars of peanut butter and jelly. The pantry said peanut butter is an expensive item to purchase, and it is always in high demand.

"The community response to this food drive has been wonderful so far, with one donation bin already filled for the Pantry," Ald. James Cappleman posted in a newsletter alert. "Let’s keep the momentum going!"

The 46th Ward Office and Lakeview Pantry are accepting unopened jars of peanut butter and jelly through next Wednesday.
