Ready, set… glaze! Chicago’s sweetest summer tradition is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and promises to be bigger, bolder and more sprinkle-covered than ever before! The Stan’s Donut 10K, 5K and 1K Kids Dash returns to Soldier Field (1410 S. Museum Campus Drive) Saturday, July 18 – bringing together runners, walkers and even parents with children in strollers, for a morning filled with fitness and camaraderie. Event proceeds will benefit Cal’s Angels, whose mission is to heighten awareness about pediatric cancer, grant wishes to children battling the disease, and raise funds to provide supportive resources – not only for children, but their families as well.

Presented by Stan’s Donuts and Adrenaline Special Events (ASE), Stan’s Donut Run has grown into one of Chicago’s most anticipated summer events, serving up miles of smiles for people of all ages and fitness levels. The 10K begins at 7 a.m., 5K at 8 a.m., and 1K Kids Dash at 9:45 a.m. The scenic course (for the 10K and 5k) winds along Chicago’s lakefront with donut-themed entertainment, sweet surprises, and plenty of Instagram-worthy moments along the way.

Cal's Angels was selected as this year's charity beneficiary because the organization's mission is deeply personal to Race Director Danielle Snare, mom of a pediatric cancer survivor.

Her family faced the challenges of pediatric cancer when one of her children was diagnosed with the disease. Through that experience, Snare experienced the emotional, financial and practical support families need during treatment, making Cal's Angels a natural partner for an event focused on bringing people together for a meaningful cause.

“Over the past 10 years, Stan’s Donut Run has become much more than a race - it has become a celebration of community, perseverance and giving back,” Snare said. “While participants come for the fun, the donuts, and the unique experience, they are also helping make a real difference in the lives of children and families facing pediatric cancer.

“Supporting Cal’s Angels is especially meaningful to me and my family because we understand firsthand the challenges these families face and the importance of having a strong support system during that journey.”

Every participant receives a Stan’s Donut dri-fit shirt, race bib and commemorative swag – including a donut-themed finisher medal, along with a cold brew coffee, and of course – a donut, at the finish line. The fun continues at the post-race celebration, featuring music, inflatables, bounce houses and family-friendly activities.

Virtual participation options are also available for those who want to join but are unable to attend the event in person. Find more information at donut5k.com/race-info.

Whether participants are chasing a personal record or simply participating for the “hole” experience, Stan’s Donut Run promises a morning packed with sweet memories and community spirit.
