Stan's Donuts Offers Lucky Customer Free Donuts for Life at Lakeview Grand Opening

The new Stan’s Donuts location at 2800 N. Clark St. opens at 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Until then, Stan’s in Wicker Park is offering Chicago Cubs donuts.

Some lucky customer could free donuts for life at the grand opening of Stan’s Donuts and Coffee in Lake View this Saturday, Oct. 10.

The new Stan’s location at 2800 N. Clark St. will throw open its doors at 6:30 a.m., where the first 100 customers in line will be handed an envelope. Inside one of the envelopes will be the grand prize -- free donuts for the rest of one’s days.

The grand prize winner will receive a dozen donuts of his or her choosing once a month as long as they live.

The other 99 customers will walk away with some Stan schwag, including Stan’s T-shirts, coupons for free coffee drinks, Stan’s mugs and an infamous Stan’s uniform shirt.

Those who can’t wait until Saturday can saunter over the Stan’s Donuts and Coffee at 1560 N. Damon Ave., Wicker Park, for some tasty Chicago Cubs frosted donuts.

The opening of the Lake View donut shop marks the third Stan’s location in Chicago (the other is located at 259 W. Erie St., Streeterville).

Stan’s first opened in the glitzy Westwood in Los Angeles, where Elizabeth Taylor, Steve McQueen and other Hollywood royalty would pop in for some delicious, whimsical donuts.

Stan’s Donuts and Coffee offers 50 different kinds of donuts, including old favorites, specialty and Dough Boy donuts, and gourmet coffee drinks.
